How these figures are made
- Received is every contribution Stripe reports as paid: one-time contributions and each month of a monthly contribution. Each payment is recorded once, by Stripe's own payment id.
- Returned is refunds that went through and disputes we lost. Kept = received − returned.
- Stripe's fees come from Stripe's record of each payment (its balance transaction). Expenses are entered by our admins, each with a link to its invoice, receipt or price page. A mistake is never edited away: the line is voided with the reason and stays on this page.
- Spent = Stripe's fees + expenses. Balance = kept − spent.
- Amounts are exact to the cent. Months are calendar months in UTC. Shares are of everything spent, rounded to one decimal, so they may not add up to exactly 100%.
- We never name or list the people who contribute, only totals by month. Contributions are not tax-deductible.
